Tips on Organising a Wardrobe for Men
Having to organise a set of clothes for men is actually easier than organising women's clothes, which tend to cover a wide range of styles, shapes, sizes, and materials. For one, men's clothes tend to be more uniform; thus, allowing you to efficiently use the spaces available in the wardrobe.
So considering you are the owner of the wardrobe, you will want to conveniently find the apparel you want to wear immediately, right? When you have the luxury of having more than one wardrobe, you can consider stocking your main closet with the clothes that you need for the current season and store off-season clothes in another area. However, when you only have one huge wardrobe, consider placing the seasonal clothes near the door and the off-season far in the corners.
Consider installing double hang closet rods where you can hang your trousers on the lower racks and shirts on the top. You can also organise your clothes to have your formal and business apparel on one side of the closet while your casual clothing items on the other. It can also be helpful to arrange your clothes depending on their colours for convenience.
Moreover, have shelves for folded clothes such as T-shirts and sweaters. You can opt to have these shelves installed on the side of your double rods or to have it just below your trousers. In addition, allow spaces on the lower portion of your closet for footwear. As an option, you can have two-tier shelves in the bottom of the closet where the lower part has ample height to fit your shoes while the top portion allows for boots and other tall footwear.
Also, you can utilise containers to place your smaller clothing such as socks, underwear, handkerchief and folded undershirts.
